Going more into the sketches that I did during my week's break from WoW - this one is of my former officer, Zylvíth, who quit playing after some while, but still stayed as a big idol for me. I'm a huge fanboi of his!
Like usually every conversation that I have, I was talking with Zyl about the game in Skype, and he was telling me about his screenshot organization. Even though he wasn't playing anymore, he had tons of screenshots of the game that he wanted to have in cool folders in neat order. I went through some of his images and realized that at the time when he was playing, he had got two amazing weapons from an old raid that doesn't exist in-game anymore, a jungle troll kingdom Zul'Gurub.
The fist weapons are called Thekal's Grasp and Arlokk's Grasp, and together they gave their wielder Primal Blessing; "Grants a small chance when ranged or melee damage is dealt to infuse the wielder with a blessing from the Primal Gods (blahblah increased this and that blahblah)."
Now, I am a huge fan of transformation stuff and I had always wanted those weapons, even though I had no character to use them with ( lawl collector-by-heart!!11 ). My respect for Zyl increased with like +300% at that moment.
- My great idol had actually complimented me of my earlier drawings, and asked if I could draw Zylvíth, so this news gave me quite the kick of an inspiration for the image!
Zyl gave me images of the rogue set that he wanted, and I can't even begin to say how much I hate it. The armour is absolutely hideous, I hate it, hate it hate it hate it. I HAAATED drawing it, but in the end I guess I am happy I spent all that time on it.
- I succeeded on making what I think is a powerful image of a powerful character with a lovely, sweet and delicious twist - the night elf's severed head hanging from his grasp.
If anyone of you is wondering what the heck is the big tiger spirit there, it's the Spirit of Thekal, who's power is infused on the fist weapon Zylvíth is using.
